Tusuubira Women’s Development Agency

Tusuubira Women’s Development Agency is an indigenous, non-profit making, Community Based Organization registered in Wakiso district, Uganda. It was founded in 1997 by a group of local women in order to have a common voice to address their problems.

What We Do

Poverty Alleviation

In the past TWDA has mainly tried to alleviate poverty through addressing the previously identified causes of poverty

Agricultural Support Training

Training in gender to create equality amongst men and women in labor sharing and to avoid dependence on women labor.

Marketing and Finance Support

Training farmers in collective marketing to improve on economies of scale and volumes

TWDA Partners

Tusuubira Women’s Development Agency is one of the 7 partners that make up the Central Archdiocesan Province Caritas Association (CAPCA). CAPCA is a development arm of the Central Archdiocesan Province and comprises a consortium of seven partner organizations also referred to as agencies. The CAPCA partners are; Caritas Kampala, Caritas MADDO, Caritas Kiyinda-Mityana, Caritas Kasanaensis, Caritas Lugazi, CIDI Rakai and Tusuubira Women’s Development Agency. Currently, CAPCA operates in 9 districts of central Uganda.
